Introduction

                                         This blog post will be about the narrative approach we are using for our indie game "HOUSE AT THE END" . Story and mechanics are inter wined elements of the game.The game mechanics and the level is designed around the story as it was the main focus to enhance the game play experience .The game level includes few interiors, a river along with a small wilderness. Being a good observer will reward you with better understanding of the story and characters you deal with.

Core Game-play

           We have introduced a new game play mechanic called 'focus' such that two snippets of clues can be used to form a logical conclusion .Many information could be gathered around from the area using focus mechanics which act as a 'concentration ' process.the game mechanic is intended to mimic the thought process ,say for example when you are shown a girl with a gun and the same gun as the murder weapon the though process drives you to think about the motive and picturize the murder in your mind. The players power of imagination is what we depend on when we use the mechanics of ' focus' .certain interaction are stored in the 'memory ' such that it could be used later .the game-play is aimed to support the emotional and explorative core of the game .Carve your own path through "THE HOUSE AT THE END"
